Our Many Selves, listening to your inner voices
Q: Lately I hear more inner voices and “parts” of me than ever before. Am I going crazy?
A: No you are probably not going crazy. Each of us has lots of “me’s” we are accountable who we rarely listen to and often know nothing about. The rising “tide” of frequency on Earth is surfacing “voices” in our subconscious we could comfortably pretend to be deaf to prior to 2000.
Q: I don’t like this idea of “many different me’s inside.” “Hearing voices” is a sign people are going crazy.
A: There are a few people locked up who hear voices in their head and handle this poorly. If you are reading this, you are very unlikely to be a candidate for the looney bin. Rather you are likely to be looking to expand your awareness of your own self and this will be into your own sub- and unconscious, where all your other Many Selves live.
There’s no guarantee you will never have an uncomfortable moment in your growth and expansion. However if you can’t go back to ignoring your inner voices and can’t stay where you are now; then, you have to go forward.
Q: What if I’m scared to listen to my subconscious?
A: Then don’t go there alone. Always take the Light with you. Invite Love, Light and Angels to be your Partners. Stay awake; that’s part of how we all grow.
Our Many Selves is a reality we all face sooner or later in our personal-spiritual growing.
Our Many Selves is the name of a famous 1971 book by Elizabeth O’Connor inviting readers to explore the “fractured self” and to celebrate our natural diverse inner expressions.
In 1971 Our Many Selves heralded the human potential movement, the solution the Beats and Beatniks intuited but were unable to synthesize in the 1950s and early 1960s. The human potential movement was in large part escape from the straight jacket of the 18th and 19th century notion that “each person is an island unto themselves,” for those who were looking for that.
Pop culture recorded only, “No man is an island,” from John Donne’s poem; however, the larger, stronger, dominant cultural and consumer programming is “every man is an island.” That’s why everyone needs a house, everyone needs 2.5 children, everyone needs a cell phone, everyone needs a flat screen TV—you get it?
The Amazon reader reviews of Our Many Selves are quite illuminating and recommended.
