Our conscious self is the most isolated of our three selves

The basic self and high self can easily communicate; they can always be in touch, more similar than different, they are cut from the same cloth.  Their frequency is more similar than different, both are subconscious and unconscious.

The conscious self; on the other hand, really is an island, a kind of outcast, cast out into the external physical world, where extraverted reality counts very much and inner awareness counts for relatively little.

Our c/s is very far out and away from the inner worlds of our sub- and unconscious.  Like everything else here in extraverted, physical manifestation, our c/s is bound by sequential 3D time and space. It is by far the most isolated of the three selves.

Our basic and high selves are in daily communication.  The conscious self can get in on the conversation between b/s and h/s, but it takes desire, willingness and practice.

In a sense philosophers of the 1700s and 1800s were right—every man is an island.  However this is true ONLY in the conscious self, only in the isolated intellectual mind.  This isolated state is more natural for men to fall into and identify with than for women to fall into and identify with.  In earlier centuries men assumed—erroneously—women were the same as men, just weaker versions of men.  So male intellects made the isolated intellect into a kind of de facto religion, acting as if the other two-thirds or nine-tenths of the human psyche, did not exist.  We see this today in the modern idea of “junk DNA,” which goes right along with the older idea that the emotions are useless junk, the parts of the psyche not bound by physical-material time and space are not “real” and therefore worthless.

Q:  So how do the Angels view this?  Certainly not like male patriarchs did?

A:  The isolation of the c/s is by design of the Angels.  The original plan was to keep the c/s separate and distinct enuf so that it could grow stronger in its ability to make choices and decisions independently.  Independent thinking, making choices and doing for yourself is the crown of Creation, as Angels see things.

Q:  Why did the Angels exalt the isolated conscious self so it could fall into the error of being merely intellectual?

A:  The c/s represents the soul here in 3D life. The c/s mirrors the soul.  If you are familiar with movie sets, the c/s is the stand-in for the soul.  It takes the place of the soul until the soul is ready to step onto the stage and make a choice, decision or determination and so on here in 3D.

Q:  Why doesn’t the soul simply come and be present continually in person?

A:  According to John-Roger; not me, if the soul was here continually “in person,” it would burn out our nervous system.  Makes sense to me.

The soul also prefers to stand outside of 3D creation, not to get too enmeshed in physical-material matters.  It’s home is not here.  It’s home is outside of all created-conditioned energies, outside body, emotion, mind.  The soul is free of any conditioning.  It’s the animating spark of the lower created-conditioned habit bodies.

The Angels addressed a need to create enuf of a buffer for souls in 3D bodies, between them and the confusing mish-mash of 3D life, enuf of a buffer, so souls could have the possibility of objectivity, of NOT being IN but NOT OF the confusing chaos of 3D opportunities and experience.

So, get used to it, the c/s is isolated so it has fewer distractions.  This enables it to do its job better.  What’s its job?  Making healthy choices.  Plato I think spelled this out:  taking the right action, at the right time, with the right person, for the right reason.  That’s a big job; takes concentration; a lack of distractions really helps.
